Bargo thinks the blizzard didn't live up to the hype. Here he stands on our front stoop. I shoveled it at 3:00 am when it had around 0.5 inches of snow on it, though there was some drifting up against the bottom of the door. Here it's around 10:00 am. |
| Here's another view, showing the walk up to my door and some of the front yard. About 8 feet from the stoop, the snow on the front yard drifts to about 2 feet high but there's a nice strip of low snow along the front of my housing unit here. I'd guess there's roughly ½ to 2 inches of snow in this area of the yard. |

Okay, Bargo's rethinking the blizzard now that he's seen our driveway. Bargo is about 24 inches at the shoulder or so (yeah, he's huge for a Lab) and the plows came straight up the driveway (the driveway is kind of like a two-sided "F", with 4 garages on the left and 4 on the right, all sharing the driveway.
Happily, that's not my car.

This is my garage and that's the snow I'll have to drive through to get my minivan out of it.
Bargo's a believer. The lighting and contrast are a bit odd, but my giant Lab is standing right next to the Wall o' Snow ™.

And those are the first few pics of the blizzard. I may post more later but these should give you an idea of how much snow we got. Not as much as some places can get (*cough* New England *cough*) but still photo-worthy, I think.
